I. Performance and Applications

DTRO membrane (Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis) is a form of reverse osmosis specifically designed for treating high-concentration wastewater. Its application areas mainly include landfill leachate treatment, desulfurization wastewater, coal chemical wastewater salt concentration, high-fold concentration of materials, and marine desalination.

Although DTRO is an anti-fouling membrane, due to the complex water quality and significant variations in water quality indicators, pollutants can still be trapped on the surface of the DTRO membrane during operation, ultimately leading to membrane fouling. Based on this, we have developed an acidic cleaner specifically for DTRO membranes, EQ-503. DTRO membrane acid cleaner is a low-pH, foam-free liquid formulation primarily composed of organic acids, high-efficiency detergents, and chelating agents. It effectively removes metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate, and other salt scales and is suitable for all brands of DTRO membranes.

EQ-503 efficiently removes inorganic scales and salts from the membrane surface. The diluted solution maintains a pH between 2 and 3. This product works best when used alternately with the alkaline cleaner EQ-506.

III. Usage Method

EQ-503 acid cleaner can be used for both online cleaning and offline soaking cleaning of DTRO membranes. The recommended concentration for the cleaning solution is 2–5%.

IV. Cleaning Instructions

▲ Before cleaning, it is essential to identify the type and extent of membrane element contamination to apply the appropriate treatment;

▲ During the cleaning process, the temperature of the cleaning solution must be maintained within the required range (25–35℃);

▲ The cleaning flow rate should follow the recommendations of the membrane manufacturer or chemical supplier. Additionally, the flow rate and soaking duration should be determined based on the type and severity of membrane contamination (if no recommendation is available, ExLen technical engineers can provide guidance based on the actual system conditions);

V. Packaging and Storage

※ Packaged in plastic drums, 25 kg or 20 kg/drum;

※ Physicochemically stable, store in a cool place. Minimum storage temperature: -15℃. Shelf life: 1 year.

VI. Safety and Protection

This product is acidic. Use appropriate labor protection during operation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
